I hit my acrylic nail and its bleeding. Yesterday at the park DS was coming down the slide and as I put my hands up to catch him he kicked my hand and hit my pinky finger ripping off my fake nail halfway and my real nail with it. You use acetone nail polish remover to soak them in be very gentle removing the acrylic so as not to do any more damage to your own nail. Fake nail with real nail almost ripped off.
Unless the area of bleeding is very small an affected nail will usually fall off on its own after several weeks because the pooled blood has separated it from its bed. If the nail is torn use sterile scissors to cut off rough edges to prevent further injury. You will constantly feel pain and that is one of the most common reasons why your acrylic nails hurt.
Should I keep it covered until the nail grows--of course I will put peroxide on twice a day. Bleeding on or around the nail. It was an accident.

Not sure what to do. Hit my acrylic nail and now have half my real nail and acrylic nail. Apply direct pressure with a clean cloth.
If you feel resistance do not yank just soak them in acetone for some more time. In an attempt to straighten the vehicle I hit my fingernail on the steering wheel. As you can see from the pictures I believe that is my nail that should be under my skin.
